With the economies volatility right now, who couldn’t use a helpful tool that helps you track your dollars and cents. I tend to use Mint.com, but The Birdy seems like a super easy way to manage spending. What do you use to help you track your finances?

You use email right? *ahem* Look for an email from the Birdy at the end of each day. Just hit reply and tell him what you bought. 30 seconds and a few simple lines is all it takes to get control of your spending.
This is not Mac specific but I really like the idea of it. It’s similar in idea to OhLife, an online journaling app which I use and love.
Basically, The Birdy sends you an email at the end of the day asking how much you spent and on what, you reply with the details, it does the rest.
Setting a daily budget and keeping to it is a good way to stop extra spending on stuff you don’t really need. Apps such as this can help you see what you are spending your money on and keep you honest with the least amount of friction possible.
